Another debate? The pantomime primary continues apace.

The next debate for the 2020 presidential primary candidates is scheduled to be held in South Carolina on February 25th, 2020. This date also marks the anniversary of the signing of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, an important step in US civil rights history. The debate will be hosted by CBS News and the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, and will focus on issues of particular importance to black voters. Several current candidates have already confirmed their participation in the event, and although no official list of the invited candidates has been released, it is likely that most of the remaining contenders will be invited to take part. Depending on the results of the New Hampshire primary this upcoming February 11th, this debate could be a decisive moment in the pantomime primary process.
