Biden denounces Sen. Tuberville for holds on military promotions

Joe Biden, the President-elect of the United States, has issued a statement denouncing Senator Tommy Tuberville for placing holds on military promotions. Biden accuses Tuberville of “holding up the vitally important job of military promotion for unacceptable political reasons,” and that he is “disqualifying highly qualified officers who have already earned promotions in order to score political points with his base.” Biden also states that this practice is “an affront to the men and women of our armed forces, undermines their morale, and weakens our military readiness.” The President-elect strongly urges Sen. Tuberville to immediately stop this practice and allow the promotions to proceed.
