Dem Sen. Chris Murphy rebukes left for mocking ‘Rich Men North of Richmond’ singer Oliver Anthony

Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut has rebuked some on the left for mocking country musician Oliver Anthony. Like it or not, Oliver Anthony’s song shines a powerful light on the new class divide,” Murphy wrote. In response to Murphy’s tweet, many Twitter users praised Anthony for his song. Many agreed with Murphy, saying that the mockery Anthony has faced is an example of how people can be quick to shut down ideas or opinions that don’t fit a certain narrative.
