Friend.tech, a new data-driven platform that tracks and measures online influence of individuals, has revealed its list of the top earners in the gaming world. Topping the list are FaZe Banks and Nadeshot, founders of the popular gaming organization FaZe Clan.
The duo is followed by the likes of esports and content creators such as Ninja and Shroud, as well as Mixer streamer Ninja and YouTube’s top earners PewDiePie and Markiplier. Other top earners include executives and businessmen, such as COO of Roblox, David Baszucki as well as esports team owner Peter Dager.
The list further reveals that the UK’s biggest esports organization, G2 Esports, and its founder, Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez, earned the fifth and sixth spots, respectively. When it comes to social media influencers, the list reveals that YouTubers such as Fitz and TheSyndicateProject as well as Twitch streamer TimTheTatMan all earned substantial amounts.
Overall, the list showcases the immense potential of the gaming industry to generate massive amounts of revenue for its participants – from content creators to industry executives. It’s no surprise then that the industry is predicted to reach $200 billion in value by 2023. As more platforms emerge to measure the influence of gaming personalities, it will be interesting to see the ever-growing impact and reach that the industry has.
