Iowa Gov. Reynolds hits back at Trump as she throws support to DeSantis

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, a Republican, hit back at President Donald Trump's criticism of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and threw her support behind him. In response to Trump's tweet asking whether DeSantis was "playing tricks" with the state's unemployment system, Reynolds took to Twitter to voice her support. "Governor DeSantis is an effective Governor who is doing a great job navigating Florida through COVID-19," she wrote. "He's creating jobs and taking bold action while protecting the health of his citizens. I stand with him and President Trump in that effort." Reynolds has been aligned with the president and frequently touts the progress the state has made in terms of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the face of criticism.
