Sen. Grassley calls on State Dept to terminate ‘antisemite’ employee with inflammatory blog

U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley has called on the Department of State to terminate a State Department employee who expressed "offending and inflammatory" antisemitic views on a blog. In a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Grassley wrote that employee Noel Clay's blog posts contained "graphic language" targeting Jews and Israel. Secretary Pompeo responded to the Senator by stating that the Department had conducted an extensive review of Clay's posts and determined them to be in violation of the Department's values and standards of conduct. He assured Grassley that the Department took appropriate action in accordance with its personnel policies.
