Tenn. lawmakers refused to act on guns. A GOP mother is still pushing.

Tennessee lawmakers have recently refused to take up any gun control measures, despite a record spike in gun-related deaths in the region. In response, one Tennessee mother has been launching an effort to bring gun control bills into the legislature. Elizabeth Moreau, whose son was killed in a mass shooting in 2018, has been active in lobbying for new restrictions in the state. She has appeared at the statehouse during legislative sessions, and has held rallies calling for stiffer gun control laws. She has also helped organize a local gun control group, demanding that lawmakers take action to reduce gun-related violence.
