Well-known Ukrainian pilot ‘Juice’ among 3 dead in plane crash

An Uzbek fighter pilot known as "Juice" was among three people killed in a plane crash in Ukraine over the weekend. The light aircraft crashed in a field in the Donetsk region on Saturday.
Capt. Avaz Akhmadov, better known as "Juice," was a five-time participant in international aerobatic shows and an instructor-pilot at the local air academy. He was flying with two other people, who were also killed in the crash.
Ukraine's Civil Aviation authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. A preliminary hearing suggested mechanical problems may have been an issue.
Police have opened a criminal investigation into the fatal incident.
