Trump catches another break with Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity

The Supreme Court's ruling in favor of Donald Trump points to the widening recognition of presidential immunity. The decision safeguards a president from potential legal liability while in office. This decision does not only protect Trump, but also future presidents, reaffirming the principle that the sitting president is immune from being sued or indicted in any kind of criminal proceedings. It should be noted, however, that this immunity is not absolute and ends once the president leaves the office.
