Biden may endorse big Supreme Court reform. It would be a major shift.

Yes, President Biden has indicated he might be open to some level of Supreme Court reform. However, it's important to note that any proposed changes or reforms to the Supreme Court would constitute a significant shift in American jurisprudence. The Supreme Court, established by the Constitution, has remained largely unchanged since 1869 when the number of justices was set to nine. Any effort to change that number, often referred to as "court packing," or to introduce term limits for justices would therefore be a major departure from tradition. President Biden has established a bipartisan commission to study potential Supreme Court reforms. Their proposed recommendations could range from leaving the court as it is, to imposing term limits or potentially expanding the number of justices. Again, none of this is formal policy yet, and it remains uncertain what concrete steps, if any, the Biden administration will take towards Supreme Court reform. There's also the political question of whether any significant changes could garner enough support in Congress, which would ultimately have to approve many of these potential reforms.
