Chevy Bolt owners to receive settlement checks after successful class-action suit over faulty batteries

General Motors has agreed to reimburse owners of Chevy Bolts over faulty batteries as part of a successful class-action lawsuit. Eligible Bolt owners can expect to receive settlement checks as a result of the agreement. The exact amount of the compensation depends on various factors, including the age of the vehicle, the purchase price, and whether the consumer experienced any battery-related issues. GM has also offered to replace faulty batteries for some Bolt EV models free of charge, this is in addition to the monetary reimbursement part of the settlement. Please contact your dealership or GM directly to check your eligibility and to inquire about claim processes.
