Congress has a limited amount of time to pass a deal to fund the government as the current spending bill expires soon. The exact deadline is February 15th. Congress must pass and agree on a deal that both the House and Senate can agree on in order for the government to remain funded. While both sides have expressed an interest in reaching a deal, they have yet to come to an agreement. If no deal is reached, a partial government shutdown will go into effect.
