Cruz warns against underestimating Harris: Dems pitching her as ‘Mother Teresa, Oprah and Gandhi’ combo
Ted Cruz, a Republican senator from Texas, is advising against underestimating Kamala Harris, the Democratic vice president. Cruz argues that Democrats are promoting Harris as a combination of highly influential figures, namely, Mother Teresa, a respected Catholic nun; Oprah Winfrey, an influential talk show host and philanthropist; and Mahatma Gandhi, a freedom fighter and proponent of non-violence. He believes this portrayal could be an attempt by the Democrats to augment Harris's public image.
