DeSantis, Haley pledge to pardon Trump if he’s convicted
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley have both publicly pledged to pardon President Donald Trump if he is convicted of crimes related to the ongoing Russia investigation or any other matters. Both governors have expressed their support for the president and have argued that any charges or convictions should be nullified. They argue that the president is innocent until proven guilty and deserves the right to a fair and impartial trial. Furthermore, they both believe that any potential prosecution should have taken place before President Trump took office and should not be used as an excuse for political retribution.
