Elon Musk promised an anti-‘woke’ chatbot. It’s not going as planned.

Elon Musk recently promised to create an anti-“woke” chatbot in response to a tweet from a follower who said they “desperately need” a bot that will “combat the woke juggernaut”. The bot, which Musk named “The Red Pill”, was meant to provide users with “resources to help fight the woke agenda”. However, the launch of The Red Pill chatbot has not gone according to plan. Following its release, The Red Pill was criticized for propagating anti-feminist, anti-LGBTQ, and conservative content which Musk had not intended. Some of the chatbot’s content included derogatory language and offensive comments towards minority groups which Musk had to apologize for. In response to the backlash, Musk has since suspended The Red Pill and shut down the project.
