Sinclair explores selling roughly 30% of its broadcast stations, sources say

Sinclair Broadcast Group, one of the largest U.S. broadcasting companies, is reportedly considering selling approximately 30% of its television stations, according to unidentified sources. The company owns and operates, or provides services to 186 television stations in 86 markets. However, it is now reportedly eyeing the sale of some of these in an effort to recalibrate its portfolio. There is also a potential for some of this reshuffling to be related to regulatory measures. The specific stations involved and the terms of any potential deal are currently unknown.
