TikTok creators sue U.S. government over potential ban

TikTok creators have launched a lawsuit against the U.S. government, challenging the Trump administration's potential ban on the app. The lawsuit alleges that such a ban would violate the constitutional rights of TikTok creators, who use the platform to make a living. The creators - Douglas Marland, Cosette Rinab, and Alec Chambers - argue that the ban would proactively prevent millions of followers from viewing their content. This follows after President Trump signed executive orders seeking to ban TikTok unless its Chinese parent company ByteDance sells its U.S operations. TikTok has stated that it's "shocked" by the executive order, suggesting the decision was made without due process. The platform has threatened its own legal action against the U.S government.
