UN’s top court orders Israel to ‘immediately’ halt its operation in Rafah

The United Nations' top court, The International Court of Justice (ICJ), has ordered Israel to immediately halt its operation in Rafah. They base this directive on allegations of violations of international law. However, the order brings another layer of complexity to the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Please note that this decision by the ICJ is binding as it is under international law. However, enforcement can be challenging since the UN Security Council, where veto-power exists, is responsible for implementing the ICJ's decisions. This situation might lead various reactions from the international community; thus, it potentially affects the dynamics of the Middle East peace process. However, it is important to study the official documents or trusted news sources for a more comprehensive understanding as the situation could evolve rapidly.
